Pro Tem Judge Opportunity
Pro Tem Judge: Tigard Municipal Court is seeking a pro tem judge to serve on an as-needed basis. The caseload primarily consists of traffic violations, including photo enforcement, and civil infractions. Applicants must be members of the Oregon State Bar in good standing with at least five years of criminal legal practice or judicial experience. Candidates will be required to provide proof of business insurance, Bar membership, pass a background check and a LEDS test and obtain a City of Tigard business license. The hourly rate is $150 per hour.
The successful candidate will be hired as an independent contractor and not an employee of the City. The successful candidate will be expected to execute a personal services agreement with the City, a copy of the agreement is available upon request. Services are requested as the need arises, therefore there is no guarantee as to the actual amount of work, if any, to be assigned under any subsequent contract.
